From Milwaukee (I-94): Take I-94 West toward Madison, approximately 72 miles. To get to the Beltline (Hwy 12/18) on Madison's south side, take the I-90 East/I-39 South exit from I-94, taking the left ramp. Continue on I-90/I-39 until Hwy 12/18 West exit to Madison (far right lane). Follow the ramp right. Hwy 12/18 is commonly known as the Beltline.

From Chicago (I-90): Take I-90 West toward Madison, approximately 150 miles. To get to the Beltline (Hwy 12/18) on Madison's south side, take the Hwy 12/18 West exit to Madison. Follow the ramp left. Hwy 12/18 is commonly known as the Beltline.

From Minneapolis/Saint Paul (I-94): Take I-94 East toward Madison, approximately 270 miles. I-94 will merge with I-90 East and I-39 South. Approaching Madison, I-94 will veer to Milwaukee (do not take), while I-90/I-39 will continue to Madison's south side (center lanes, reading "Chicago"). There take the Hwy 12/18 West exit to Madison (far right lane). Hwy 12/18 on Madison's south side is commonly called the Beltline. Caution: you will approach Hwy 12 E exit while still on I-94 much further northwest of Madison. Do not take this exit, as you will spend much time in the country.

From Oshkosh/Fox Valley (Hwy 151): Take Hwy 151 South to Madison, approximately 86 miles. Take the I-94 East/I-90 East/I-39 South ramp, veering to the right under the overpass. Continue in the right lanes, following the I-90 E/I-39 S signs to Chicago (I-94 will veer left to Milwaukee). Approaching Madison's south side, take the Hwy 12/18 West exit, veering right. Hwy 12/18 is commonly known as the Beltline.
